This week brings another addition. I'm adding the Bible. This is not to say that I haven't spent a fair amount of time in and around the Word of God. I have participated in numerous Bible studies and enjoyed and learned so much from each of them. I have also completed daily devotions and quiet times that incorporate relevant scripture. However, I have not read the Bible in it's entirety.
Another touching moment from Haiti, has given me the inspiration for this daily reading of the Living Word. Our team was able to spend a few unforgettable moments with a lovely elderly woman named Marie. Although we didn't speak the same language, it was clear to us as she listened with tears in her eyes, to her Bible on tape, it was her most prized possession. She was weeping and she was filled with joy to be listening to living word of God, the Holy Bible. It's time for me to spend time honoring God by reading His word...all of it.
As I continue to think about all the beautiful people of Haiti, I just want more of all of them. I want to love more. I want to have more Jesus!
